Our project cities

Limerick

Why Limerick?

Owing to its location, excellent amenities and large pool of skilled graduates from Limerick’s universities and colleges, Limerick has welcomed a multitude of multinational companies to its existing list of high-profile businesses.

Limerick emerged as Ireland’s first national “City of Culture” in 2014 and has since expanded rapidly.

The history of Limerick dates to the early days of the stone age and offers tourists the chance to dive in the City’s past with impressive historical landmarks, Museums, galleries, artefacts and exhibitions.  Limerick is home to major sporting events, passionate sports teams and fans across the city and county.  The shopping scene in the city continues to grow with new opportunities for local businesses to sell their goods through pop up stores and market stalls.  The city is also home to one of the largest shopping centres outside of Dublin which houses over 90 stores, restaurants, cafes and a cinema.  Limerick also offers a large music and recreational scene as the city promotes live music and theatre, Irish trad sessions and great opportunities to experience the Irish culture and have fun.

From art to architecture, nature and riverside walks to numerous cosy cafes and restaurants, tourists can get a real taste of Ireland’s culture and cuisine.
